Review of plan evaluations singled out Press Ganey health plan partners as leaders in member experience

CHICAGO, October 07, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Ganey Press, a renowned leader in patient, member, employee and consumer experience across the healthcare ecosystem, today announced that more than 97% of top-rated healthcare plans in the United States United partners with Press Ganey for member experience measurement and engagement. This figure is based on an internal review by Press Ganey of the recently released report. 2022 Health Plan Rating Report the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and 2023 CMS Medicare Advantage Star Rating Data.

Review of these two reports also revealed that Press Ganey’s clients include:

  • 97% of plans with an NCQA rating of 4.5 to 5 out of 5, an increase of 3% compared to 2021;

  • 100% of plans with an NCQA rating of 5 out of 5; and

  • 98% of Medicare Advantage and Part D plans with CMS 4.5 and 5 star ratings.

“At Press Ganey, we are proud to see our clients succeed so immensely in their ongoing commitment to providing a superior member experience,” said Patrick T. Ryan, President and CEO of Press Ganey. “As value-based care emerges as the new industry standard, payers and providers are faced with the imperative to take a holistic view of the human experience of corrective care, enabling them to maintain their reference service even when the care pathway evolves.”

Ganey Press acquired SPH Analytics, an NCQA Certified Survey Provider and CMS Approved Medicare CAHPS Survey Provider (MA & PDP CAHPS), in 2021 to bring holistic and powerful insights to the fragmented provider and payer landscape. The now combined organization has enabled Press Ganey to provide best-in-class information nationally, regionally and locally to help its health plan partners accelerate innovation and improve the member experience.

“As healthcare as we know it evolves rapidly, health plans increasingly need a reliable way to predict member experience and understand pain points as far in advance as possible,” said Suzanne Cogan, Managing Director, Payer Solutions at Press Ganey Solution. “We help our clients design a better member experience through granular details that identify performance against our national benchmark and enable targeted improvement strategies early enough to make improvements.”

CMS rates Medicare Advantage health plans on their combined HEDIS, CAHPS, HOS, PDE, administrative, and improvement measures. Member satisfaction performance as measured in the CAHPS survey accounts for 32% of Medicare Advantage Star ratings.
