ST. PAUL – In less than three weeks, Minnesotans who need private health insurance can start enrolling in health and dental plans for 2022.

Plans are through MNsure, the Minnesota health insurance marketplace, and in western Minnesota, plans are already available in preview, including 10 more options than in 2021. The enrollment period MNsure’s open begins on November 1 and will end on January 15, 2022, according to a press release from MNsure.

In Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse, and Wilkin counties, Minnesotans will have 28 plans to choose from and in every county in the state, Minnesotans can choose from at least 19 options to choose from. separate health insurance plan.

Not all plans will cost more than 8.5% of their household income, according to the press release.

“Each Minnesotan has a unique life story and circumstances that affect the type of health care coverage that is right for them,” said MNsure CEO Nate Clark.

Residents of western Minnesota can get free assistance from Alexander & Haberman, a broker registration center located in Fergus Falls, or another certified regional MNsure assistant, according to the press release.

For 2022, five health insurance companies are coming back to partner with MNsure: Blue Plus, HealthPartners, Medica, Quartz and UCare. Dental plans are available from Delta Dental and Dentegra.
