They recently asked their staff who they would like to support for the upcoming National Hospice Palliative Care Week (October 4-8).
The overwhelming response had the Sainte-Catherine Hospice in mind. Many staff members have had some level of relationship with the local hospice which provides end-of-life care to individuals and support to close family members and / or friends.
Massive financial boost for a new hospice between Horsham and Crawley
Simon Orsborn from CHUBB said: “It is just wonderful that we were able to make this donation to St Catherine’s.
“We have already raised funds for them and we know it will really help them, especially after having had to cancel so many events due to the coronavirus. We are especially delighted to be able to continue our support for the hospice as they work on a fantastic new facility at Pease Pottage.
“This will provide the ever growing population of Crawley and the surrounding areas with all of their incredible services associated with terminal illness, caring for others or the loss of a loved one.”
Suzanne Davies, Corporate Fundraiser at St Catherine’s, said: “We are very grateful to CHUBB for their generous donation of £ 1,000. It is only with the support of our community that we are able to provide expert end-of-life care when it is most needed. We are excited to continue working with CHUBB as our plans for a new, larger hospice that will allow us to provide even more care to even more people in our community unfold.
